About

Urban Landscape Management is all about how to create liveable cities with great green spaces, street trees and sustainable urban forests.

We are a not-for-profit collaboration between experienced academics and practitioners involved in planning, developing, designing and managing urban public landscapes.

We aim to link theory and practice across the areas of urban horticulture, urban forestry, landscape management, green infrastructure, urban design and planning.

We hope this site will be a useful and self-perpetuating resource for everyone involved in imagining, making and caring for public landscapes and green spaces in cities.

The editorial team brings together experience in research and practice across a number of disciplines to link theory to practice. We write a lot about Australia because that’s where we live. But we would love to hear from you and learn about your projects, and ideas, wherever you are.

Our writing aims to have intellectual rigour and journalistic flair. If you are interested in writing for Urban Landscape Management, we would love to hear from you. Check our information for writers page.
